We use the industry proven, gold standard laser – Medlite C6 for tattoo removal. The MedLite C6 laser established its reputation as the “workhorse” of medical lasers due to its consistent and excellent results. The RevLite SI laser with more software and function updates on the basis of the MedLite C6 laser, has essentially the same laser design as the MedLite C6 laser. The MedLite C6 was originally developed by Hoya Conbio, a medical laser company spinned out of continuum laser (now amplitude laser). It is the first commercial medical laser system utilizing super-Gauss mirror and non-stable laser cavity techniques to produce a large flat-top laser beam with more than 1 J of laser energy in a single nanosecond laser pulse. By providing a true, large flat-top beam, MedLite C6 produces consistent results with fewer complications for reliable treatments. MedLite C6’s large homogenous beam delivers energy evenly over the skin’s surface, minimizing epidermal injury, reaching deep into skin, and increasing patient satisfaction. With the MultiLite Dye Handpieces for 585 nm (yellow) and 650 nm (red), MedLite C6 can extend its wavelength capabilities and allow full-color tattoo removal. Multiple wavelengths also provide the versatility to treat acne scars, sun-damaged skin, wrinkles, pigmented lesions, including Nevus of Ota, café-au-lait lesions, solar lentigines, uneven skin tone, and melisma.
Laser tattoo removal does involve some level of pain. There is a misconception that laser tattoo removal is intensely painful. However, most people say that the sensation of removal is comparable to having a tattoo applied after their treatments. Most people agree that the involved pain is uncomfortable but bearable. In addition to conventional icing before and after treatment, we use industry proven Zimmer Cryo skin cooling machine that blows out air of -30º Celsius to further relieve discomfort during laser treatment.
